This spring semester I'm hoping to learn a lot from Introduction to Education Tech. I hope to refine my current technology skills and learn more about sites and tools I haven't used yet. I will take what I learn in this course and apply it in my future career as an Educator. Just looking at the syllabus, I know there are assignments we will be working through in this class that will be useful, and I will probably pull from and use in my classroom some day.
In high school, I was able to become proficient in most Microsoft tools, like PowerPoint and Word, as I used them all the time for assignments, projects, notes, and more. Similarly, I learned how to use Canva and have used it for many of my classes, high school and college. In college, I have become accustomed to using Google Calendar daily to be able to keep track of my classes, plans, assignments, etc.
As an Elementary Education major, I love to learn about anything related to education and kids. I took Family Development last semester and every topic was super interesting to me and the knowledge will be helpful in my future career. Like I mentioned, Google Calendar is an online source I use daily, but additionally I log onto myFSU regularly to do a lot of things. As for offline resources, I also utilize the FSU on campus study spaces all the time, like the library and the 1851 space.
I love the formatting of your blog! It definitely gives teacher vibes. I am also an elementary education major and I share your passion for learning about education and kids. I love the resources you use! I have just recently started using Google Calendar and it is a life saver.
ReplyDeleteHi Emily! I am also an Elementary Education major, so I am excited to learn some things in this class that will be beneficial in the future! Learning more about different tech services will also be great, since I used the same few resources in high school as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Emily! I absolutely loved your post. I really like the pink details, it makes everything look organized and cute. Like you, I'm also looking forward to learning to use tools I've never used before. I personally really liked this assignment as I had never used this platform before. Within my personal learning network, I also included Google Calendar; it's a great tool for keeping track of my responsibilities and managing my time. Overall, your post was great :)
